The Peninsula Multifaith Coalition (PMC) organized the annual “Prayers for Peace” event on September 2, 2024, at the Redwood Picnic Area in Twin Pines Park, Belmont. This gathering, traditionally held on Labor Day, serves as a platform to bring together individuals from various faith traditions in a shared pursuit of unity, harmony, and peace. Faith leaders from different religious backgrounds led attendees through heartfelt prayers, songs, and chants, all with the aim of fostering understanding, compassion, and a stronger sense of community. |

The event offered a space for reflection, solidarity, and collective action toward peace-building efforts. After the prayers, participants came together to share a potluck meal, further strengthening the bonds of friendship and mutual respect across diverse cultures and beliefs.
