BAYCC and Pacifica Institute volunteers in Sacramento invited their neighbors and friends to the Ashure (Noah’s Pudding) event on the 26th of August. Retired Pastor Rev. Alan Jones, one of the guests, gave the opening speech, followed by an introduction to Ashure. A group of musicians performed live sufi music and Ashure was served along with treats. The decoration and ornamentation of Noah’s Ark received a lot of attention from those who attended. Family photos were taken. The Ashure event truly deserved the message of togetherness, and was a great success.
