Date: March 8th, 2019, Friday

Time: 6pm – 8

Venue: Board Chambers of Government Center

Women constitute more than 60% of world’s population. Whether they live in a highly civilized society, or a rural one, the main barrier in front of them is lack of education. Once they are educated, women make remarkable contribution to the societies that they live in by bringing in their skills, creating new opportunities and startups.

Partnering with Pacifica Insitute, UNA Silicon Valley, Santa Clara County Supervisors Cindy Chavez, Santa Clara County Sherriff Laurie Smith, BayCC is organizing a panel on “The Role of Education for Women’s Empowerment”. The panel aims to share best practices about providing quality education tools for women in underserved communities and refugee camps.
